Pre-Kindergarten Facts:
Pre-K is open to children 4-years of age as of August 31 of the school year for which they are applying.
Pre-K is in session five days a week, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The class size is limited to 18 students.
The children have snack and recess in the morning.
They bring their snack & lunch.
Lunch is followed by recess and quiet time.
The curriculum follows the Academic Standards set by the Archdiocese of Washington.
- Religion & reading readiness are taught in large group
- Science, math, language arts & computer time are rotated through learning centers
- Art is incorporated through the day
- Music- a structured class taught is once a week with Music Teacher.
- Library- once a week with the Librarian
- STEM Lab - structured clawss once a week in the STEM Lab
