All adult volunteers (persons 18 years old and older) must successfully complete the Child Protection Policy compliance process.
To do this the adult volunteer must:
- Create an account on VIRTUS.org
- Register for and attend a Child Protection Training Workshop
- Submit a Volunteer Application
- Be fingerprinted at an Archdiocesan site. The volunteer must bring a Criminal Background Investigation Authorization form available from a compliance coordinator along with $33.50 fee and a PHOTO ID to the fingerprinting site.
The following four items must be submitted to the Parish or School Compliance Coordinator:
- An original Volunteer Application submitted prior to requesting a fingerprinting appointment
- Signed receipt indicating the completion of fingerprinting
- Copy of Attendance Certificate from the Child Protection Training Workshop
- The signed Acknowledgement Page from the Child Protection Policy
