Volunteer Compliance Process

All adult volunteers (persons 18 years old and older) must successfully complete the Child Protection Policy compliance process.

To do this the adult volunteer must:

  1. Create an account on VIRTUS.org and register for a Child Protection Training workshop.  If our parish is hosting a workshop it will be posted on the school webpage's scrolling announcements.

  2. Make an appointment with either the parish or school co-coordinator to complete a background check application.  Bring with you a blank check, and two government issued IDs - one a photo ID.  (List of acceptable IDs)

  3. Attend a Child Protection Training Workshop - submit the originals of the Attendance Certificate from the workshop and the signed
Acknowledgement Page from the back of the Child Protection Policy to the coordinator.  Keep copies for your records.

Visit the Archdiocese of Washington Youth page for additional information.
