Rules for Making Your  Games

 

  • Parents of students should act as advisors only.
  • If you are in grades 1- 3, your parents may help you with organizing your ideas, putting the games together, and helping with the printing.
  • Parents please do not make the games for your child. Remember it is their game not yours.
  • Do not copy trademarked or copyrighted games. Your game may be similar but it must have your own adaptations.
  • Always remember that simple is better.
  • Games teach Math Facts, Operations and or Math Concepts.
  • If the game is easy to understand and the board is not cluttered, it will be more fun to play.
  • Write clear, concise directions.
  • If you can easily tell other classmates how to play after reading the directions, and they know what to do, then the directions were concisely written.
  • Use your Spell Check when printing any Directions, Question Cards, or your Answer Sheet.
  • Original Drawings should be neatly done.
  • You may also use clip art for designing your Math Game, Board Design and or Question Cards.
  • Games will be due to the SKYBOX during the second full week of September,2011
  • All games submitted to the SKYBOX will be on display for general viewing
  • Games will become part of the SKYBOX Game Treasury.
  • Rubrics will be printed out for judging
  • Winners will be announced
