I sent home a letter on Thursday with everything you need to know about our trips and activities between now and the end of the school year. Look for it in the backpack. It also includes the dress code for the trips. These are a few academic reminders:
English: Journals are due any time during the 4th quarter. There should be twenty entries. Once you have twenty (and some may be free choice if you want to finish) you do not need to write any more. The mornings now will be busy with study for exams.
The research paper is due May 1. Hand in the outline with the paper. Stage Crew: You may hand in the paper any time between May 1 and 11.
Reading: If you have a very low reading grade because you did not complete the novel assignments (annotation and notes) you may complete that work and hand it in again. I need that by May 15.
We will continue to watch The Merchant of Venice in class and read along. There will be a test on the play when we are finished. I will give you a review sheet but be sure to pay attention to the video and read along. Stage Crew: We are watching a BBC video of the play. You may wish to watch at home if you missed any parts in class.
Senior Project: These count in reading and will help raise your grade. Due May 14. This is a 3-5 minute presentation—speech with poster, slide show, video, power point—that reflects who you are, what is your passion, what makes you you.
Vocabulary: For Room 16--We really only have time for the final test so chapter 15 will be part of that test. It will be on May 16.
Field Day: Remember to come on May 1 in PE uniform. You may not participate unless you have the De Chantal PE uniform. Memories are being made every day. Take time to enjoy each one.
