Students in 7th grade are now studying Chapter 11, Heredity. Students should keep pace with readings as assigned. The test for this Chapter is scheduled for Tuesday May 15 (7-6) and Thursday May 17 (7-1).
Students should be prepared to sort traits in an Punnett Square and identify pheno or geno type for offspring when viewing a Punnett Square.
Students should also understand and apply the following vocabulary words: Alleles, phenotype, polygenic inheritance, dominant, recessive, Genetics, genotype, Genetice engineering, Heredity, sex-linked gene.
All students in grade 7 received 25 extra credit "test" points for their exemplary participation in the Cape Henolopen Field Trip.
