Children of the Holocaust Essay
650-1000 word essay or format of your choice: power point, video, diary, narrative poem, and more.
Choose from two formats:
1. Expository: Research paper on the children of the Holocaust who were sent to concentration or death camps during the Holocaust.
2. Historical Fiction: Using the research you’ve found, write a historical fiction narrative essay about a made up child who was sent to a concentration or death camp during the Holocaust. Remember that in historical fiction, the characters and some events may be made up, but it must be based on historical facts.
Must include:
- An account of what life was like for the (child)ren before the Holocaust
- Historical facts on World War II and the Nazis
- Facts about how they were transported to the camps
- Facts about the camps and if the children were treated differently than adults
- Facts about what was worn on clothes to show that they were Jewish
- Three sources. One must be from a book; the others can be acceptable internet sources.
- A cover page and a works cited page in MLA/APA format
- Give correct credit to your sources in your paper. NO plagiarism.
- A picture can only be placed on cover sheet, and is not mandatory.
- Times New Roman or Calebri font, 12 pt.
- Double Spaced
- Individual project: not to be worked on in groups
